“As it is the business of tailors
to make clothes and of cobblers to mend shoes, so it is the business of
Christians to pray.”
-Martin Luther
Greetings Friends!
As most of you know, one of the areas we are seeing greater intentionality in this year is prayer. It may sound like a no-brainer, but if we are honest, prayer is an area each of struggles to remain faithful in.
In Colossians 4:2 Paul encourages us to “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving”. In our grace-driven attempts to make Jesus our chief affection we are trying to put this text into practice.
To do so we have been holding weekly prayer meetings each Monday morning from 7-8AM at the church offices. This has been a time of tremendous blessing to me personally and I want to continue to invite you to join us as we seek God together.
I also want to both remind you and encourage you to set aside one 30-minute period a week to pray specifically for the Redemption prayer requests that come with this newsletter each week. Together we need to seek God as family for Gospel-work in our lives, in church, and in our communities.
Will you join us in this? We would love to know that you are praying and when you are praying. If you would be so kind as to reply to this email and let us know you are with us and when you are praying each week so we can pray you remain faithful in this task.
I love you guys and humbled by your partnership in the mission of Jesus!
For the glory of God,
Ryan
Prayer Requests:
- We still need more volunteers for Redemption Kids
- That God would prepare the Redemption men's hearts and minds for the upcoming Bootcamp as we talk about work and pray for Ryan as he prepares the message.
