I love people…

As long as they think like me, look like me, and talk like me.

You may not say that out loud, but the reality of our lives tends to reveal this to be true. We all desire community, but if truth be told we only want our community to consist of people who are just like us.

The problem with this is the very nature of the gospel. 

Join us this Sunday at Redemption as we discuss knowing Jesus and making Him known by living in light of the gospel as a COMMUNITY.

Our world, our culture and our lives are all marked by suffering, pain, fear, injustice, doubt and anxieties at varying times.  We have this sense that things are as they should be.

In the midst of this reality we all want the same thing: HOPE.

• Street Fest Serving:  We will be serving alongside the Palatine Rotary Club in the Pop & Water tent Aug 27-29. Click Here to sign up.
• Save the Date: We will also be serving at Oktoberfest on 9/17-9/19 so please mark those dates on your calendars.
• Build 2010 Men's Conference: The men of Redemption will be attending the Acts 29 2010 Build Men’s Conference on Saturday October 23 in Normal IL.  Tickets are $15 + transportation.  If you are interested, please let us know ASAP so we can plan.  Pastor Ryan will be teaching one of the break-out sessions.

• Baptism Service: We are having a baptism service on Sunday, August 29.  If you are interested in being baptized please email Tyler
• Gospel Class:  SAVE THE DATE--the next round of the Gospel Class is coming up on October 16 from 8a-12p.  The Gospel Class an opportunity to learn about our vision as well as it is also a prerequisite for Covenant Membership at Redemption.

It may sound cliche, but at some point we've all found ourselves wrestling with the meaning of life.  Questions like, "Why am I here?", "What is this all for?", and "Does my life matter?" have been asked, or considered by all of us.  We all have answers to those questions, but many of us answer those questions incorrectly.

Join us at Redemption for a new four week series called "LIFE: What if you've been missing the point" as we unpack not only the meaning the gospel brings to our lives individually, but also to us as a church family.

"And they all lived happily ever after..."

If you are like me and your foundation for these Bible stories came from a flannel board then you might be inclined to believe that they are much more like a fairy tale.  Upon digging deeper we learn that no matter how well intentioned those flannel boards were, they often ended after only telling part of the story.

Join us this week as we finish out the "Flannel Board Remix" & dig into the entire story of Jonah and see how it too tells THE story.
